LOTS of News!

OK so it's been forever since I updated this blog. Tons has happened and tons more is about to! As you can see I FINALLY got my blog header and layout done. I'll be adding links and banners back tomorrow.

Lily is growing like a little weed. At her 2 month checkup/shot visit she weighed 11lbs 15oz. She's also in the 95th percentile for height for her age. I'm SO glad that she got her daddy's height! She's had her Christmas pictures made and they turned out SO cute. I'll be sending copies to her honorary aunts (you know who you are!) as soon as I can get more copies. Which I should get ordered from Shutterfly soon, huh?

And one more. This is Lily and Daddy, watching Hockey no less!

Speaking of honorary aunts. Each of you that have sent presents to Lily, thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Every gift has helped us out immensely! Elena, those black tights worked out perfectly with the purple dress we got her with the GC's that were sent. Turns out, black tights (or ANYTHING black for that matter) are hard to find for infants. She also got her first designer clothes last week from her Great Aunt in Finland. As well as a HUGE box from her auntie T. OH! She also rolled over for the first time on Thanksgiving Day.

And now for the rest of our news. Well, at least, the part I can think of right now LOL

I'll be starting to do some makeup reviews in the near future. I'm SUCH an AL lover and hopefully I can spread the madness a bit.

There's also a new magazine on the horizon, albeit the distant horizon. I have so many projects but what's one more, right? I'll be contacting a few people for interviews and such when I get details all hashed out.

Probably the biggest news I have to share is something that's been a long time coming. Hubby and I have decided that Disciples is a go. We'll be looking for members, but in the meantime we're just gonna do it all ourselves with various softwares and such. He began practicing again a couple of days ago and I'll begin doing so in the morning (If Lily lets me). The other night I went on a hunt for new music and found 2 artists that are amazing, IMHO. Hate in the Box reminds me a lot of Emilie Autumn for some reason. Rainbow Blight has an amazing voice! And Kristen Lawrence does these amazing Halloween Carols. Below are links to vids for both of them:

Hate in the Box - Bloody Ballerina

Kristen Lawrence - Arachnitect

You can also find both these artists at Myspace. HitB's 'Pins+Needles' is awesome too.

OK that's all I can think of. I'm sure if anyone's made it this far they're ready to go to sleep now LOL. I'll leave you with the latest piece of artwork. Alice in Wonderland is inspiring many images in my head right now!

And with that I'll bid you good night. Thanks for reading!!

Blessings,
M

  5. I love the new look of your blog. But, of course, Lily is my favorite thing about this post. She looks adorable in her holiday outfit.

  6. Lyndsey, mine's 17 today! Trust me I know all too well how fast it goes! In the digital age it's so much easier to chronicle their lives, with my son it wasn't so easy.

    Thank you Lady Phyrra!

Thank you Robyn! That outfit we're actually going to take to Hallmark and have put in a silver engraved "time capsule". So much they have now that they didn't have when I had my son. Though the reverse is true too, sadly.
